About Me

I have been a therapist for nearly 30 years, and my work has always centred on helping people create meaningful, lasting change in their bodies and lives.

I qualified as an Acupuncturist in 1999, training in traditional Daoist acupuncture with its deep focus on addressing the root cause of imbalance rather than simply easing symptoms. Since then, I’ve run a general practice, welcoming clients with a wide range of needs, conditions and life experiences.

After a decade in practice, I felt called to expand my therapeutic approach and began studying CranioSacral Therapy (CST) with the Upledger Institute. I had first discovered CST as a student, and it was one of the few treatments that consistently eased the chronic pain I carried from a teenage gymnastics’ accident. Its gentle, hands-on nature blended beautifully with acupuncture, and as I progressed through the training, I came to appreciate the extraordinary breadth of what CST can offer.

CST supports the body on multiple levels — from releasing physical restrictions that cause pain or limit function, to accessing the deeper emotional layers held within the tissues. The SomatoEmotional Release (SER) aspect of the work often brings profound insight and transformation and remains one of the most powerful resources I offer clients.

My training as a Reiki practitioner and Long Distance healer, developed during COVID, further refined my perceptual awareness, allowing me to sense subtle energy patterns and fields with greater clarity. This enriches all aspects of my work — whether in person or at a distance or with verbal or non-verbal clients.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am also a mentor and learning support for students of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy, and I host monthly online meetings to support their development.

Outside of work, I am a married mother of three grown-up children, now enjoying the space to deepen my own self-care practices. You will often find me walking the South Downs listening to birdsong, cycling along the coast, practising daily yoga and meditation, drawing or painting, or swimming in the sea.
