CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Acupuncture is one of the longest established forms of healthcare in the world. Acupuncturists are trained to use subtle diagnostic techniques that have been developed and refined for thousands of years. The focus is on you as an individual, not your illness, and all symptoms are seen in relation to each other. Each patient is unique; two people with the same western diagnosis may well receive different acupuncture treatments.

CranioSacral therapy (CST) is a subtle system of natural health care that uses gentle non-invasive touch that supports the body’s innate ability to heal. It is a powerful therapy that affects the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) to assist in improving function throughout the whole body.

LONG DISTANCE THERAPY (LDH)

Long Distance Healing is a mind, body, spirit approach to strengthen your internal environment and within your self help create a more healing, integrated flow, which enables you to change and heal at your own pace. It may be a physical issue that you have been experiencing or perhaps something you are struggling with emotionally or in any other area of your life that is in need of support. It may be something that is happening on a deep cellular level that can arise in your awareness when we simply pay attention to it together.

Fiona’s professional, caring and supportive nature has been invaluable. I started seeing Fiona as I had been suffering with anxiety for a number of years. With her innate ability to tune into my body using both acupuncture and cranial treatments, I have been able to manage my anxiety and move forward in my life in a hugely positive way.

ABOUT

FIONA

Fiona Ratti Photo.JPG

I have been a therapist for nearly 30 years. I joined the International College of Oriental Medicine, East Grinstead, Surrey in 1994, and after 4 years qualified as an Acupuncturist. The approach is Daoist in nature, which means the emphasis was to treat the root cause of a problem rather than only the symptoms. Since the beginning, I have always run a general clinic with a wide variety of clients and a wide variety of complaints and illness.

After 10 years I decided the time was right to study CranioSacral Therapy (CST) with the Upledger Institute. I had discovered it whilst a student. I found it to be one of the few treatments that consistently improved my back pain, caused by a gymnastics accident as a teenager. And as a light touch, hands on therapy, it blended well with Acupuncture.

As I progressed through the levels of training, I came to realise the breadth of possibility CST offers to people. Not only does it provide the more mechanical side of treatment, the ability to release restriction patterns and adaptions within the body tissue, which cause pain and loss of function in any body part or system. But it also connects with the deeply held memories and emotions within the body tissue.

Somato-Emotional Release (SER) is the emotional part of treatment. It is the process which allows profound change, because as the emotional memory is accessed, the physical body which has been entrained to hold it, can finally release and change. It is a tremendous resource for people, giving them the possibility to expand their self awareness and make different choices.

I extended my skillset and trained as a Reiki practitioner in 2010 and developed further Distance Healing training in 2022. My energetic healing practice is a thread that weaves through all my work, as there is no separation between the physical, emotional and intellectual body.

I spend time training in Traditional Daoist Tai Chi and Nei Gong. For the last 6 years as a Diplomat qualified CST practitioner and Study Group leader, I have assisted students on their training pathway towards certification.

I am registered with the British Acupuncture Council (B.Ac.C.) and the CranioSacral Society (CSS).

I am a happily married mother to 3 grown children. I spend time supporting myself
through creative and spiritual practise and my connection with nature. When I’m not
working I will be walking the South Downs, cycling along the coast or swimming in the sea.

 you touch everything.
