ACUPUNCTURE
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Acupuncture is one of the longest established forms of healthcare in the world. Acupuncturists are trained to use subtle diagnostic techniques that have been developed and refined for thousands of years. The focus is on you as an individual, not your illness, and all symptoms are seen in relation to each other. Each patient is unique; two people with the same western diagnosis may well receive different acupuncture treatments.
CranioSacral therapy (CST) is a subtle system of natural health care that uses gentle non-invasive touch that supports the body’s innate ability to heal. It is a powerful therapy that affects the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) to assist in improving function throughout the whole body.
LONG DISTANCE THERAPY (LDH)
Long Distance Healing is a mind, body, spirit approach to strengthen your internal environment and within your self help create a more healing, integrated flow, which enables you to change and heal at your own pace. It may be a physical issue that you have been experiencing or perhaps something you are struggling with emotionally or in any other area of your life that is in need of support. It may be something that is happening on a deep cellular level that can arise in your awareness when we simply pay attention to it together.

ABOUT
FIONA
I have been a therapist for over 20 years. I qualified as an Acupuncturist in 1999 after a 4 year full time course from the International College of Oriental Medicine in East Grinstead. It was traditional Daoist Acupuncture with an emphasis on treating at the root cause of a problem rather than only treating the symptoms. I have always run a general clinic with a wide variety of clients with varied complaints.
After 10 years I decided the time was right to study CranioSacral Therapy (CST) with the Upledger Institute. I had discovered it as a student and found it to be one of the few treatments that consistently improved my pain levels caused by a gymnastics accident as a teenager. And as a light touch, hands on therapy, it blended well with Acupuncture.
As I progressed through the levels of training I came to realise the breadth of possibility CST offers to people. CST offers the more mechanical side of treatment releasing restrictions within the body which cause pain and loss of function in body parts or systems. But it also connects with the deeply held emotions within the body tissue as experienced with the Somato-Emotional Release (SER) side of the work. SER is the process which offers profound change and is a tremendous resource for so many people.

I spend time training in Traditional Daoist Tai Chi and Nei Gong and I am a part-time instructor for the Shen Long Tai Chi School. I regularly TA (teacher assist at Upledger training courses) and as a technique qualified practitioner I am a Study Group leader assisting students in their training towards certification.

Over lockdown, I extended my skillset and embarked on a two year training programme with Suzanne Scurlock and Distance Healing From the Core which i completed in 2022.
As well as being a married mother of 3 teenagers and for the last 5 years being deeply involved in the rehabilitation of my second child after an accident – see radio interview link.

If I’m not working I will be walking the South Downs, cycling along the coast or swimming in the sea.
